Is the solidarity surcharge unconstitutional?
According to the German Federal Bar Association (BRAK), the solidarity surcharge is no longer constitutional. Dr. Katharina Wild, as rapporteur, contributed to the BRAK's statement to the Federal Constitutional Court regarding the constitutional complaint filed by the FDP executive committee against the partial abolition of the "Soli" at the end of 2019.
